Treaty of VersitilesIf I understand your question correctly you are asking what treaty formally ended the war (World War I) in 1918. There was NO treaty that ended the war in that year (1918). There, however, was an armistice (staring 11NOV1918) that ended the fighting on the Western Front, the only remaining front in the war (more about the Eastern Front in a minute) and so ended the war. The terms of surrender were to be worked out later and came to be known as the Treaty of Versialles which was the formal treaty that ended the war. This treaty was signed by the Germans on June 30, 1919 (not sure of date--might want to check that out). So, it was the Treaty of Versialles, which came into effect into 1919 that formally ended the war. The fighting on the Eastern Front (Russia) had ended in March of 1918 when Russia signed a separate peace treaty with Germany thus withdrawing from the war. But this didn't end all the fighting in World War I. The rest of the Allied powers continued fighting until 11NOV1918.
treaty of nijmegen:)The Hundred Years' War.30 years war was the conflict that made France the most powerful country in Europe.
The Crimean War started on October 4, 1853, when the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire declared war on Russia. It ended with the signing of the Treaty of Paris on March 30, 1856. Various dates for the beginning and end of the war have been given. Some are based on the ending of the actual hostilities and some on the formal signing of the peace treaty.
It wasn't a peace treaty many would argue, since it focused mostly on blaming the Germans mostly for starting WW1, and it punished the Germans and made them pay 30 billion to repair the Allies' damages, there are several parts to the treaty, but they directly/indirectly show that the French and British wanted to punish the Germans, not to go to peace.

Some major events that ended the Revolutionary War were the French being able to force the British Navy from the Chesapeake Bay, and the surrender of Cornwallis at the Battle of Yorktown. The final act that ended the war was the negotiation of and signing of the Treaty of Paris.

The French Revolution started during the same decade in which the American Revolution ended. Regarding the US vs. Great Britain, about 30 years after the American Revolution ended, the War of 1812 started. A few have referred to it as "Revolutionary War II".
