The legacies of WW1 extend all the way to today. When the war started the English social classes were stratified and set. There were social rules for every behavior and the people in each class were suppose to follow the rules. By the end of the war over a million English men had died in the war and this changed English society. Technology was also developed during the war and is the foundation for the things we use everyday . The peace treaty with Germany set the stage for Hitler 20 years later. The treaty required reparations from Germany, didn't allow a German military, and the economic effect put people out of work. People were struggling and inflation was high in Germany by 1930 so this made it easy for Hitler to gain power. All of this resulted in WW 2 and the murder of over 6 million of Europe's Jewish population. This is just some of the legacies of the war and as it shows that ALL history is connected.
