And some knight derived their surnames from being a member of this order. The most famous of which is of course Vlad Dracul (aka Vlad the impalier, the prototype from Count Dracula) History has not been kind to the Knights Dracul.
Anyways out of the Balkan peninsula you will find several families with the name or some derivative of the word Dragon.
