Paris wasn't bombed but apart from that I don't think that there were any European cities that weren't bombed during World War II. Some were completely obliterated.
London was bombed during World War 2 because the Nazis were attempting to demoralize the city. The country was not attacked because more people lived in the city.
The fire basically destroyed two-thirds of the city of Rome.
During, it was just Germany. Afterwards, the city was divided up into several sections, most of which belonged temporarily to the United States and the USSR.
Paris received very little damage even at the end of the war when the Parisians repelled the German Nazis. Cities in Sweden were not damaged nor were the cities in Spain, Switzerland, Portugal and Ireland. Athens received some damage but thankfully the Greek ancient buildings remained in pretty much the same state they were in prior to the war. I believe the Vatican City did not get damaged either.
They thought the world might be coming to an end because a ghostly woman was wailing"My children, we must flee from this city!" So they thought the world was coming to an end.
