the war of ww2 wasn't really fighting for Land Nazis who were lead by Adolf Hitler was trying to basically kill Jews and take over the world.so i think it was the British who called war on them for taking over European countries without them fighting back so France and England were fighting them while America was sending suplies to help them.japan was one of the axis powers the Nazis told them to bomb pearl harbor witch they did so America joined the war. the axis powers were Nazis, Italy, and japan the Allies were America,France,UK,Canada,and Soviet Union (Russia) witch was a axis power who had invaded Poland when Hitler ordered his commanders to kill them they derived the Soviets back into Russia big mistake the Nazis couldn't survive a Russian winter because it was cold so the Soviets pushed them back. the Nazis were fighting two fronts one side was America,England,and France the other side Russia as soon as the Nazis were defeated all most of the Allies meat in Berlin, Germany so that is basically ww2
