The most violent time period in history is ancient times (3000 BCE to 500 CE) There was more wars, famines, plagues, massacres of civilians populations, evil governments, disregard for human life, and crime in that period than any other time on earth. Battles in the time were also extremely bloody, sometimes getting deaths into the hundreds of thousands in a single day.

∙ 11y agoAll depends on how you look at it. Throughout history, people in positions of great power have the potential to destroy millions of lives with their decisions. As we all know, Adolf Hitler is a prime example. Joseph Stalin is another, along with many others. Vlad the Impaler was known to have impale people with great long spears which entered through the anus and out the mouth. Some of these unfortunate people would be alive during and after the process (hence the name Vlad the Impaler). He would do this to millions of people, men, women and even children. He would line up these impaled people outside of his home in Romania. He is also the main figure behind the myths of Dracula, which he was called during his reign, which meant "son of dragon". Many, many evil dictators ruled throughout history in parts of Asia, Europe, and South America. These people may not have killed people personally, but have condemned the lives of thousands, sometimes millions by their commands. Direct killers, known as serial killers are in histroy from around the world. The united states has housed many serial killers. Jeffrey Dahmer is probably the most famous. He was a cannibal who killed young men/boys and kept certain body parts, he was also a necrophiliac. All in all, not one person can be identified as the most violent person in history, its not about the body count, but about the physical and mental pain that individual places on many people.
