There are lots of major reasons why Chinese immigrants came to America.

Most people believe that the reason they came to America is because they have a major disadvantage in terms of opportunities in China. They just came to America to have better opportunities like better education, to acquire vast knowledge about scientific achievements, etc.

Another major reason Chinese immigrants came to America is the California Gold Rush. They came to America just to mine for gold, have wealth and have a better life.

Now, they still have major racial problems in America.
