The problem with any curriculum is that there is simply not enough time to address all the details. When it comes to Australian history, more and more of the details are being pushed out in favour of other topics, and there simply is not enough time to go into such topics with the ideal amount of detail.

The essential truth is taught, and those who are fortunate enough to pursue such topics at tertiary level will find that the truth is not withheld. For the purposes of curriculum, the main information required to be dispensed is that Australia was federated to become a self-governing nation on 1 January 1901 - and we continued to progress as a nation from that point.
