This is somewhat distorted. The Revolution in France while i did get out of hand and evolve in terrorism, was not originally in any sense anti-clerical. The situation was entirely different in Revolutionary Russia, where the governemtn was manically anti-relgiious (Godless Communists!) was the call of the day and some of the anti-clerical angle may have been a legitimate backlash at (Clergy Gone bad) such as Rasputin. Can you inmag8ine if we had an official Presidential Chaplain and he was arrested for Child abusing? wow, it can"t happen but. The Churchmen were always on the Law and Order side and could not approve of riots or terrorism which erupted in both Paris and Moscow. More so i n Russia than in Paris, there was a concern that the Regular cleric s might aid the Nobility in hiding valuables, money, etc using mission houses, covents, etcf as safe houses. This was not an idle angle. It is treagic as both revolutions got out of hand there were numerous clerical casualities of both the guillotine and getting more modern the modern machine-pistol or automatic carried by the N.K.,V.D men. The Bolsheviks even sacked cemeteries, many inside religious enclosures- the (Rape) of the tomb of Catherine II was such an unspeakable horrific act of vandalism.
The French Revolution was a wakeup call to European monarchs who were shocked and appalled at what had happened in France. They feared this might encourage people in their countries to do the same. As a result, efforts were made to incorporate Enlightenment ideals in many countries.
French culture was ruled by what you might call class war, the very rich and the very poor, there was no middle. The French were always reliant on rule from above, but that rule is what was destroying them, and the fight to retain that rule was only making it worse, it finally came to a head in the revolution, strangely enough it pretty much went back to the same thing afterward too.
It was put in place as the Guardian Angel of the French Revolution designed to protect it from counter revolutionaries, possible friends of the Nobles, possible Catholic sympathizers and possible Possibles of any ilk that may or might attempt to work against the current government in any way.
Priests might eat white bread, pottage, milk, and fish. A typical pottage consisted of a broth or stock to which vegetables, cereals or meat might be added; eggs might also go into the pot to thicken the brew and make a richer base.
The Russian revolution and ouster of the Czarist regime placed many nations in fear that their history of oppression might lead to similar revolution. This fear was invoked by the Industrial Barons who had considerable influence in high political and media positions.
The French allied themselves with the Americans, thus requiring the British to fight two enemies at one time instead of just one.
You need to state which revolution you are asking about. It might be the French Revolution, or the Russian Revolution, or one of many other revolutions. It might even be the American War of Independence - as a Briton, I forgot the Americans call it the revolution.
They opposed slavery. Might wanna catch up on that homework.
the french care so much about the revolution because it made a massive impact on, not just France, but Europe! if the revolution had not happened, France and possibly even the rest of Europe would not be what it is today. France might still have estates, kings and bad execution habits but because of this revolution, people all around Europe started to realise what France had become. i hope this answer is helpful :)
Toussaint Louverture led the Haitian Revolution until the he was captured by Napoleon's forces. In an interesting note, it could be argued that without the revolution in Haiti the French might have never sold Louisiana to Jefferson.

1) American Revolution 2) French Revolution 3) Haitian Revolution 4) Latin American Wars of Independence Additional Revolutions (these are important, but were defeated or did not have long lasting implications). * Belgian and Dutch revolts, results of the French Revolution. Some were unsuccessful. * Corsican Revolution, overthrew Genoan government on Corsica and installed a republic until the French annexed the island. * Some might say that the Polish wars in the 1790s were Atlantic revolutions. * Very unsuccessful Irish Rebellion of 1798, supported by the French Republic.

One might use "a converting" of priests for the collective name. There is a college of cardinals and a congregation of parishoners. Either of these might also work.
I believe the French did(seeing as though they were an enemy of England) and Spain might have provided some help.
you make them when you talk to them
