Basically the Treaty of Versailles stated that Germany had to take full responsibility for the outbreak of World War I. In the Treaty, Germany was forced to pay $33 billion in reparations to the countries affected by the war. Germany was also required to give up most of its colonies that it had control over prior to WWI. So, I suppose these events would make Germany very sad...
the treaty of Versailles was to much burden on Germany and there was no way they began to pay retribution that was imposed on them. it caused much hardship and hard feelings and Germany began to think the world was against them. so Germany when Hitler started ruling ignored the treaty and began to prepare for war.
The treaty is called the Versailles Treaty. It was signed on June 28, 1919it is considered as the peace settlement between Germany and the Allied Powers that officially ended World War I.However, the conditions in the treaty were so punitive upon Germany that many believe the Versailles Treaty laid the groundwork for the eventual rise of Nazis in Germany and the start of World War II.
WW1 was ended with the Treaty of Versailles which blamed the war on Germany. Germany was so mad about this that, for their new dictator, they looked to Hitler for guidance This led up to WW2, in a way.
Sort of. The Treaty of Versailles was drawn up after WW1. It divided up territory, and placed a number of sanctions on Germany. The Germans suffered under the Treaty. There was hyper inflation, poverty, unstable government. Check out the Weimar Republic. It was this suffering which caused Hitler to rise to power, as he wanted to see Germany restored to its former glory. From that, you had Germany invade Poland. Which was territory lost under the Treaty, and so on and so forth.
They blamed Germany, since they started the war. They hated the French . . . the war was largely started to get back at the French for whipping the Germans in the War of 1870. Germany really got hammered by the terms of the Treaty. If it hadn't been for the US insisting on the Treaty not being so harsh as France and Britain wanted it, most of Germany's population would have starved to death. Even so, Germany suffered greatly. Because of the resulting hard feelings by the German people, Adolph Hitler was able to goad the Germans into a second war: World War Two.
It was known as the Treaty of Versailles.
the treaty of Versailles pissed of Germany so the broke it
the whole time during world war 1, the German citizens thought they were winning and doing awsome. so when they found out they lost, it was a big blow. so they were shocked at that plus Germany was in SO much debt from the war it was almost impossible to live in Germany because everything was so expensive due to taxes. The Treaty of Versilles set up so many laws and restrictions for Germany too. Germans really were desperate for a new strong leader since their previous leader had backed out and their government wasn't so great either. So when Hitler and the Nazi party were heard of, German citizens fell in love with them. They thought that Hitler and the Nazis could lead them on the road to a stronger government and revenge. So basically, the Germans were desperate for a strong leader and found Hitler. The rest is history. A sad history.

The difference is that the Treaty of Versailles was to help Germany repair itself after the Great War. The Marshall plan was to give Germany $12 billion to help it get in order to not start another war and try to help Germany so they would not get so conceided.

depending on which treaty of Versailles you're talking about, Im going to assume its not the one that unified Germany but the one that ended world war I. one of the main issues that it had was that the reparations that were placed on Germany were so harsh that Germany started to get bad intentions,, many people blame the treaty for starting WWII!
The Treaty of Versailles did not END World War 1. It was a surrender that ended it. The treaty was the documented conditions imposed on Germany after Germany had started the war and was the cause of millions of people. They were responsible for the leveling of many towns too. So the countries who were angry with them created the 14 points of the treaty. I have added a copy of the treaty points. They hated Germans for decades.
Hitler's nationalistic feelings towards Germany caused him to be angry with the results of the Treaty. In the Treaty of Versailles, Germany was blamed for World War I, forced to pay war debts, forced to demilitarize, and much of their original territory was distributed to the Allied Powers. Hitlers purpose was to make Germany great again, and he could only do so by violating the Treaty.

One of the requirements of that treaty was that Germany was to take the blame for the war, and thus pay a considerable sum. This, quite reasonably, made Germany unhappy, so they eventually attacked.
Germany violated the Treaty of Versailles (1919) in a few ways. The treaty limited how big the German military was allowed to be- and after the Nazis took power in 1933, they began making the military large and modern again. Secondly, there is a region in western Germany called "the Rhineland", because the Rhine River goes through it. There are a lot of factories there, so it's a very important region for Germany. It also happens to border with France. So the Treaty also disallowed Germany from having any military forces there. Hitler famously ignored the treaty when he "remilitarized" the Rhineland in 1936. However, less well known is that the Treaty disallowed Germany from having a general staff- that is, a high end organization to run the military, come up with strategies, and so on. After the Treaty was ratified and went into effect in late 1919, Germany, rather than comply with this restriction, simply renamed their general staff (to "Truppenamt", or "Troop Office") and continued doing things as they had done. So they violated the Treaty almost as soon as the Treaty went into effect! As for what caused World War II to begin in 1939, it was when Nazi Germany (and the Soviet Union) invaded and occupied Poland. France and the United Kingdom had promised to come to Poland's defense if attacked, so when Germany invaded, those countries declared war on Germany.
