Why did Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw pretend to be Lionblaze's Hollyleaf's and Jayfeather's parents?
Squirrelflight pretended to be their mother because, she was protecting her sisters reputation, life, and huge secret. Brambleclaw didn't know the kits weren't his, so he didn't lie.

No they don't have any kits. You may think that they did have Jaykit, Hollykit, and Lionkit but those are actually Crowfeather and Leafpool's kits. Squirrelflight covered for Leafpool and took the kits.

I know one thing, Brambleclaw will never forgive Squirrelflight. Squirrelfilght lied to Brambleclaw about being his mate and that Lionblaze, Hollyleaf and Jayfeather were his kits. Yes they will but they do not have kits. Brambleclaw thinks Squirrelflight has Hollykit, Jaykit, and Lionkit but Squirrelflight was just keeping a secret for her sister, Leafpool. Those kits are actually Leafpool and Crowfeather's kits. Leafpool is the medicine cat so she is not allowed to have kits but she did.
How many mates does Squirrelflight have?
First Stormpelt likes Squirrelflight but she doesn't know so nothing happens. Then Brambleclaw crushes on her so they become mates but no kits. They break up and then Ashfur is mates with her. Ashfur finds a secret he wasen't supposed to find and Hollyleaf kills him. That is all I know

Yes and No. Here is the story. It seems long, but read it, because it is very informational. Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw, as you probable know, fall in love on the journey to the sun-drown place. They were in love, but on the journey to the lake, tensions arose. Ashfur also loved Squirrelflight, and Brambleclaw tried to get her back. They had more fights, but in the end they became mates. Ashfur was horribly angry. They had kits together, Hollykit (Hollyleaf),Lionkit (Lionblaze), and Jaykit (Jayfeather). Poor Jayfeather was blind! But he was very grumpy because he had to be a medicine cat. Anyways, everyone believed that those kits belonged to Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw. But two cats, Leafpool (Squirrelflight's sister and medicne cat) and Squirrelflight, know that they aren't. The truth is revealed in fire and storm in book five of the Power of Three series. But you find out the real parents in book six of the Power of Three series. They are Leafpool and Crowfeather. Hollyleaf killed Ashfur in order for him to keep quiet and not reveal the secret at a Gathering. But Hollyleaf herself told everyone at a Gathering. Because of this, Leafpool quit her medicine cat duties, and Jayfeather took over. Hollyleaf felt angry and sort of went mad, so she escapes to the hidden tunnels. The tunnels colapse and she is believed to die. She shouldn't have been doubted of her survival skills. (Oops! I said too much!) Anyways, Brambleclaw broke up with Squirrelflight. It is not said yet if they get back together. I hope they do, because they are a perfect match!
