I think it's because either they were genetically modified to not be able to see color,
or they were raised so much just to obey and be boring people that they just lost that
ability.
The Giver's plan was to let Jonas attempt to reach Elsewhere. When Jonas left the community, all the memories that were given to him by the Giver would have returned back to the community. When the community had these memories, they hoped that their way of life would be changed into Jonas' Utopia.
Nothing would ever be green. The color would not exist.
it depends if you have dark eyes or light eyes. Jonah has light eyes and so does the giver, therefore they can see colour.
i would be a giver because i would have a lot of honor. also i would have a lot of memories
It would be a very sad and depressing place, colours make the world wonderful. A peach and an apple would be almost identical if there is no colour . The world would be just a boring place to live without colour so be grateful that the world is full with colours.
As an absolute form and giver of life, as without the Nile there would be only desert.
The Giver (old Receiver of Memory) felt that the community had made a number of mistakes. He demonstrates this by helping Jonas escape, knowing that he would be taking the memories with him, and that with his death and not having given the memories to anyone else, they would return to the community.
The elders in "The Giver" would most likely react negatively to the words "choice," "color," and "ordinary" as they strive to maintain control, uniformity, and sameness in their society. These words represent concepts that challenge their structured way of life and could disrupt the harmony they have established.
He would be receiving his training apart from other people, and be trained privately in the Giver's home.
The Giver would announce to the community that Jonas has left to help them understand the truth and experience their memories. He might explain that Jonas is on a journey to bring back love, pain, and color to their colorless society through his memories.
like not even black or white just no color at all wouldn't there still have to be a color?Actually we would "see nothing". Black isn't a color. Black is the absence of color, so if there was no color it would all be black. And if it were all black we would not be able to see.But what would happen if the absence of color itself wasn't there? then what? would we see all of the colors on everything? would the universe be non-existing? nobody really knows, and nobody will ever know, but what we do know about color is that we wouldn't be here if there were no color. we couldn't see anything.but i have a different question. is there a color that nobody knows about? could be. but, exactly, how would the naked eye be able to see that color? If there was an unknown color, would that color be considered the absence of color? Nobody is sure to know.
The world would suck without skate boarding because without it what would be fun?
