Lewis Carroll's books, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass are in the public domain, as are the original Tenniel illustrations.

As it is well over one hundred years old, the original story is out of copyright, which may account for the thousands of versions of Children's Books, plays, etc. that you can find based on it.

Movie versions and other unique adaptations may or may not be, as well as other illustrations. It depends on when they were released.
