Who killed Ashfur?

It is confirmed in Sunrise that Hollyleaf killed Ashfur. Before she ran into the tunnels, Hollyleaf told Jayfeather and Lionblaze that she killed Ashfur. Also, when Leafpool was preparing Ashfur's body for vigil, she said she found tufts of Hollyleafs fur in his claws. Earlier, Leafpool revealed to Hollyleaf that she knew of her crime--the same conversation in which she told Hollyleaf that she (Leafpool) was her mother.

Evidence leading up to the revelation:

• In the Prologue to Sunrise, Leafpool found tufts of black fur in Ashfur's claws.
• After Ashfur died, Hollyleaf acted very guilty--not eating and going around with a haunted look.

I agree with swiftfire.now leafpool has to be a warrior.Now leafpool has nothing not a mate, her other 2 kits hate her now and squirrelflight lost her mate also.

i think she went to darkforest!! she killed ashfur and wuz going to kill her mother. but her life wuz the warrior code then her birth broke it. she loved the warrior code.

Hollyleaf. In the prologue of Sunrise, Leafpool sees fur on Ashfur's claws, and she figures out that the murderer is the only cat who wold have fur on his claws. Later in the book, before Leafpool tells Hollyleaf that she is her mother, she tells her that she seen her fur on Ashfur's claws. Before Hollyleaf gets buried alive by the colapsing tunnel, she tells her brothers that she had to kill him, or he would distroy the clan. She was more important to that then, because she did not know that her mother broke the #1 medicine cat rule: Medicine cats must not fall in love. and broke it even more by having kits and hiding it from the Clan. Also, Brambleclaw and Squirrelflight will NEVER have kits, Brambleclaw was so broken that she could not tell him the truth. They are most likely no longer mates.

Hollyleaf that is technically leafpool's fault they shouldn't have said anythin about the kits they were in good hands with squirelflight now bramblestar is so mad he might just do what tigerstar did you never know
