Darkstripe is a sleek, dark gray tom with black tabby stripes and yellow-amber eyes. When Firestar joined ThunderClan, he shows his hatred towards him every time when they see each other. When he meets Firestar, he taunts him by calling him: "Kittypet!" He is also the closest of all supporters of Tigerstar. He appears alive in Into the Wild and The Darkest Hour and all the books in between. In The Darkest Hour, Darkstripe is seen complaining that ThunderClan is led by a kittypet when Firestar was about to get his leader name and his nine lives. After Darkstripe met Blackfoot (later Blackstar) the ShadowClan deputy on ThunderClan territory and fed Sorrelkit (later Sorreltail) deathberries, Firestar exiles Darkstripe for his actions, and Darkstripe joins ShadowClan. When ShadowClan and RiverClan join together and formed Modern TigerClan which is led by Tigerstar, Tigerstar makes a new law: half-clan cats must be killed. Then, Tigerstar gives Stonefur, a warrior that is half ThunderClan and half RiverClan, he gives him a offer: If Stonefur wants to live, he must kill the two half clan apprentices, Featherpaw (later Feathertail) and Stormpaw (later Stormfur). Stonefur refuses, so Tigerstar orders Darkstripe to kill Stonefur. Darkstripe killed Stonefur with the help from Blackfoot in a unfair battle. After Scourge, the leader of BloodClan murdered Tigerstar and ThunderClan, WindClan, RiverClan, and ShadowClan, went into the battle with BloodClan, Darkstripe joins BloodClan. During the battle, Darkstripe trys to kill Firestar, but he was stopped by Graystripe. Then Graystripe kills Darkstripe. Instead of going to StarClan, Darkstripe went to the Dark Forest.
