Long Shadows by Erin Hunter comes out November 25th 2008 and the cat on the cover is Sol who is the tortoiseshell with pale yellow eyes and that trys to stop the Clans from believing in StarClan because of the solar eclipse that is coming so he trys to shatter their faith by telling them if your ancestors were real why would the let the sun burn out. I also think I know WHY hes trying to kill their faith in Starclan. This is a total guess but I think he is a desendent of Lionclan. Hes trying to get rid of the small cats and move in Lionclan warriors around the lake, only they are like moutain lions. When Hollypaw first sees him he is ontop of the moutain and she thinks hes a lion. Hes also as big as a lion so that's my idea. However, like they say in the legends, he is not as big as a horse. However, I think Sol will turn out to be the "big baddie!"
