• The Twilight Books have become popular because they are great books [Yet the book has no discernible plot, the main love interest, Edward, is a misogynistic creep, and the printed version of the book is not only repetitive but also riddled with grammatical errors]. Stephenie Meyer is a wonderful author, and her readers agree [Not true. While many of her readers may agree, the majority of the educated population regard the series as a poorly written fanfic, which is exactly how it reads]. She shows understanding of what it can be like when your in love at Bella's age [There is so much wrong with that statement, I wont even go into it, but suffice to say, that is not love]. I'm sure a lot of people have told you it's because of how wonderful Edward is but that's not the case [of course, because Edward is emotionally abusive]. Even for those who say it on Edward's behave [behavior?] it's truly because of Edward and Bella's tight situation, what with Edward being what he is. They simply miss that point. The emerging conflict of their love grows and grows until the last part of the last book [If you consider what is described in this book as "love", which it is most definitely not]. If you have not read this book, I highly recommend reading it. Before Twilight, I used to hate reading [Not to be insulting, but what I am hearing you say is, I hated grammatically correct, well written books, but when someone writes a plotless, grammatically incorrect book, with horrendous repetition, you fall in love with it]. Now, I fall out [in?] love it, Not only Twilight but other books as well. It has really opened my eyes to true literature [Twilight is not, let me say it again for everyone's edification, Twilight is NOT, true literature]. And even to the adults out there- the first book of this saga has changed my life as a teenager. • I'm writing below. Okay, so I love Twilight so much and I'm 10 years old. I live in Alberta, and by the way, my whole class loves Twilight, the girls and one boy.
• I can find no discernible reason for the popularity. The arguments used to say it is a good book have no grounding in reality. See my edits to the first bullet point in brackets. To get a real answer you must turn to someone who is somewhat older than 10 years old. I am a 21 year old I can guarantee you, this is not literature. This is not Romeo and Juliet, which i have heard Twilight compared to many times; that had an actual plot and back story.

• Twilight is a horrific excuse for a book, the grammatical errors and horrible plot line is just only PART of the reason why everyone loves it. I have to say the female crowd tends to love Twilight because the fail-writer Stephanie Meyer has made a character without a personality, she is a shell, a shell that is stupid but easy to relate to by any girl who has been through puberty, so girls take over this shell while they read and pretend that it is no longer the main character Bella being worshiped by the abusive and childish "vampire Edward", but the girl who is now reading the book. Seeing as within the whole first book Bella's appearance is just only vaguely described, the author takes amazing care to pretty much describe every single feature on Edward Cullen's body. Did anyone else count how many times you read "Edward's Perfect Face"? I lost count well into the 30s. Basically the author has devised a way to create a fantasy world for women who are unsatisfied with their life to come in and slide into this shell-of-a-girl's body. Think of it this way though, would you find it ok for a 100 and something year old boy (immortal or not) to sneak into a high-school girl's window and watch her while she slept? Would you think that an "immortal" who is depicted as "perfect" would ever love a teenage girl who has hormones that would cause any real girl to drop said perfect boy in an instant for another boy? The series is unrealistic and boring. Yet those are only a few of the reasons why girls find this book so "amazing".
• I agree, it is one of the weakest literary fictions I have ever read. It is popular with hormonally crazed girls because it is a fantasy of their perfect life. There is no story, there is no plot, it's just "Edward is so hot and he loves me *sigh*".
• The Twilight Books have become a bestseller especially for teenagers in most stores. Anyone can read the series as they are a wonderful, popular series where romance and more is discovered. I personally love the books, because it is a nice series.

I think its because it was so much teen love but at the same time action and lust. Teens love that. And maybe even adults. Twilight brings this whole new range of new vampires that interest people. Also, the actors and actresses are hot so that also attracts peoples eyes. I hope that answered the question for you. I'm a total twilight fanatic. team edward all the way. (:
