Golden Comets, Red Stars and Cinnamon Queen are all red sex-linked birds. They are hybrids created by taking a Rhode Island Red or New Hampshire Red rooster and crossing him with a White Rock or Plymouth Barred Rock, White Leghorn or another light hen.
These chickens are not a breed - they are hybrids bred for egg production and the fact that the female chicks will be red and the male chicks will be white.
The Golden Comet has a White Rock mother, in most of the references I found, and the Red Star will have a Plymouth Barred Rock mother. So they are similar but different.
Gold Stars are great layer for our farm. They produce about 320 eggs per year. They eggs are a rich coco like dark brown. The eggs are large to JUMBO. We have had eggs that weigh as much as 4.1 oz. visit us on the web for further information: www.wilsonpasturedpoutry.com

How many chickens are in your world will vary greatly depending on where you live. Some people raise just a few chickens to collect eggs. Some people raise thousands of chickens as a business producing eggs or meat chickens.
Yes! We have one. He is a designer breed, a cross between a standard poodle and a newfoundland. He looks like Chewbacca from Star Wars. They have very curly soft fur. They do not shed so they have to be groomed, but are sooo cute!
The colour of the chicken's ear lobes is an indicator of the color of eggs they lay. All egg shells start out white with the end colour being dictated by pigments deposited whilst the eggs are being formed. When an egg has just been laid and is still damp you can rub off the colour, but as soon as it has dried no amount of scrubbing or washing will remove it. Although eggs come in colours such as white, cream, brown and even blue, nutritionally they are all the same. The chicken that lays the white egg is a white star. wigglywigglers.blogspot.com/2008/04/chick-chi...

A comet is a rock that shoots around the galaxy, not sticking to any particular orbit. A star is a sun which planets revolve around, does not move anywhere.
