Sailfish have fins, which they use as wings or sails. I have heard conflicting reports from various people who have real life experience, regarding the scales. There are several varieties of sailfish. It could be that some varieties have scales, and others do not. Both of my sources, which conflict with each other, are credible. However, each source lives on a different continent, and may be talking about different species of sailfish. Better safe than sorry; assume sailfish aren't kosher unless you can inspect the scales for yourself.
