I just gave him a bath, i use the dawn soap. liek the soap they use to clean the animals that were indagered in the iol spill. It is perfectly fine, jsut make sure not get in in their eyes. than can harm them. do not fill the bath tub high, fill it about an inch, where his feet are under, and not his whole body. let him get use to the water, and then pout a little soap, and wipe it on his body, then use a cup and lightly pour clean water on his body, and do not hair dry him, let him air dry and wipe him down with a small rag,/ wash rag. it will be perfectly fine(:
Hamsters shouldn't be washed under water unless of an emergency. If you have a dwarf hamster, it might like a dust bath to freshen its fur. Otherwise, only wash hamster if it absolutely needs to be washed. (For Example: gum stuck in its fur)If you must wash the hamster, wash it in warm water and dry it immediately with a hand towel. It can easily die from hypothermia if it is wet.
Yes, it is important to wash your hands before handling your hamster to prevent the transfer of germs or bacteria that could potentially make your hamster sick. This not only protects your pet but also promotes good hygiene for yourself.
If a teddy bear hamster bites you, wash the wound with soap and water, apply an antiseptic ointment, and cover it with a bandage. Monitor for signs of infection such as redness, swelling, or pus, and seek medical attention if needed. It's important to handle hamsters gently to prevent biting in the future.
A very small piece of cake won't hurt them. Don't give them the cream or frosting though.
Does it matter? Wipe it off, wash your hands or change your clothes. Whether urine or semen, it has no meaning except the poor guy was scared or overly excited. Let him rest, you rest, and say hello in the morning.
