If it doesn't get better in a few days, I would take it to a pet doctor and let him give the hamster medicine.
Antiseptic wash and a plaster.
definitley syrian. they live longer and are waaay less wild then dwarf hamsters. the dwarfs we used to have batted bit and were wild. the syrians and teddy bear hamsters we had were calm and easy to take care of. First time owner: don't hold your hamster for the first couple of days or they may get wet tail :)
I dont know if which is the best kind of hamster but it is not the syrian hamsters. They are the worst. I have a Teddy Bear hamster and he has not bit me since I got him. (I have had him for 2 months)
All hamsters bite, but luckily teddybear hamsters... not as much. there more luvable and you can be a bit more rough with them unlike other hamsters! Dont push him-or-her though if lack of handle they will bite hard!! hope i helped:)
I would say and dwarf hamster any kind there cheaper and they wont chew the bars of your hamster cage they are really cute. but do not get two and try not to let them escape your hands. They are really fast runners that's why i got the teddy bear hamster because they come in cute colors and they don't bite as much and you can get more than one. =)
they are called teddybear hamsters because they have lots of fur and look like a bear they are big like a bear also Teddy bear hamsters are called Teddy bears because of their resemblance to a mini bear They both bite, are omnivorous, and are super cute. I believe that they are just sooo cute! Hope this helps!
yes teddy bear hamsters are quite mature where as black bear hamsters bite u if they dont like u
The nicest hamster you could buy is a syrian and a teddy bear hamster they dont bite as much as other hamster do

Some negative things to owning a Teddy Bear Hamster is that they can bite and it does hurt, also all living thing excrete so you do have clean up after it and finally they are a lot of responsibility, but the biggest negative thing about owning a Teddy Bear Hamster is that like all living things it will die, and how sad do you think you or your kids will be when your little buddy dies ( I know that when my hamsters die I am extremely sad) so just keep this information in mind when getting a Teddy Bear Hamster.
I would say that Dwarf hamsters are the meanest cuz it is proven that they bite the most. I would recommend a Syrian or Teddy Bear. They are the nicest

get chubby and lazy ! and they bite your finger .
Both types of hamsters are likely to bite....they are both very aggressive types, and harder to deal with. Actually, Panda bear and Black bear are both just color variations on the same type of hamster, the Syrian hamster. They are in no way aggressive or hard to deal with! They are much easier to deal with than any dwarf types.
i made a mistake of touching my new teddy bear hamster while she was asleep. I was gently caressing her belly when she bit me in her sleep (she had her eyes closed). Next thing my finger was bleeding all over the places. The puncture wound was so deep that it took a while to stop the bleeding. Since then I've been too afraid to touch her again, asleep or not.

no because i went to a pet different pet shops and found that they will run away and bite and they run fast. I say you get a teddy bear hamster they usually don't bite and they have a life span 2-3years.
