You dont want to get a Great Dane for a 700 square foot appartment....ya know what i mean? We have 2 weimeriners that live inside but have access to a doggie door to the backyard. They are wonderful with the kids and have great mellow personalities. Labradors are great too. But if you have a small house or appartment, you might want to look into smaller dogs. Poodles come in three sizes, make fine house pets and don't shed. But they do need grooming and care.
