sea turtles are grazers of coral etc, they do not eat fish to my knowledge
-- I just saw a sea turtle eating from a freshly discarded fish carcass. Although sea turtles may not hunt fish, seems to me that they might feed on fish if the opportunity presents itself.

∙ 12y agohi there,
Unfortunetlly yes they can. My turtle ate 2 gold fish but itw as probably because it was 5" long! If you have a baby turtle it should be fine until it grows a bit more... If you do get a fish i would recommend either a large gold fish or a big fish so that the turtle only nibbles not kills it!
Bugzly12 - have fun and i hope you can answer some of my question!

∙ 14y agoI have 3 Red Ear Sliders, 5yrs, 1yr, 8mos old, these guys will eat any kind of fish I put in the tank (Shriimp, Tapia, Lobster Meat, Goldfish, Red Tail Shark) I find they like shrimp the best. The Baby is just now catching on but he is doing well and thriving.

Actually turtle do not eat other turtles as their daily life food. Baby turtle may eat fish food from the store. Make sure that the fish food is really small though or the turtle may not eat the food. When the turtle gets bigger, you can feed the turtle green veggies. You can feed them different veggies too. Be sure that the veggies are soft because the turtle cannot chew hard foods, such as carrots.
Im not sure aboutr this but i think the big turtle doesnt eat the smaal one unless they fight.
No animal is a turtle's prey. Turtle's eat plants. Wrong. Turtles (swimmers) eat everything (omnivores) it they can bite down on it they will eat it I have seen my turtle wipe out 20 gold fish in less than 2 min. Younger turtles eat more meat as they get older the lean towards veggies. I don't know about Tortoises (a land animal) but drop a turtle in your aquarium and all you pretty fish will be gone.
Yes they can but it isn't a very good choice. I have had my turtle since it was a baby and i fed him small fish that i let swim around the tank so he would have to chase it to eat it and the smallest kind that i could find of turtle food

A baby turtle will typically eat any food the size of its head or smaller. Any bigger than that, and it might not be interested.
