only eagles eat em and they swoop down and grab them with their beaks. Other birds that eat snakes, and notable habits: - Roadrunners catch the snake in their bill and whack it against the ground repeatedly to kill it - Secretary birds have very long legs, and they stomp in the snakes to kill them, while keeping out of reach of the snake's jaws.

They dislocate their jaw, witch then means they can open their mouth enough so they can stretch round it, and the snakes have flexable bodies so they can fit all the food in

A sizeable enough snake would be able to swallow a chicken whole, but the actual swallowing wouldn't be particularly fast and (depending on snake size)could take several minutes.

Snakes can unhinge their lower jaw allowing them to open their jaws 180 degrees and then they make their throat convulse therefore swallowing their prey
