I don't know who posted the above answer but it is wrong. Squirrels are very tasty and are often eaten by hunters. The head is skinned and fried in many regions of the USA and the brain is considered by some to be the best part of the animal. I have eaten many a squirrel brain over the last 70 years and suffered no ill effects from it.
