YES
a building about 10' x 8' x 6' tall will work real well. You can put some roost and nest boxes (nailed on the wall and a couple sitting on the floor) in there for the chickens. Don't be surprised if the ducks would rather stay outside. Raise your building at least 24" off the ground. Leave it open under the chicken coop and the chickens will go under there and roll in the dirt. Cut a small door about 12" x 12" and make a walk board with some 1/2" x1-1/2" cross peices on the walk board about every six to eight inches so the chickens (and the ducks) can get into the coop. You will have to lock them up in there for a while to make them want to roost in there. If they can find a fence bush or tree to roost in they will. You can keep 50 chickens in there. I have a building that size and I have 50 standard Crested Polish in there. http://au.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080523201656AAVHBYx
Yes, chickens can and do move backwards. When they scratch the ground for food they move backwards to see what they have uncovered.
Yes, normally chickens have two legs with the same number of bones as in a human leg. Sometimes mistakes do happen, though. I have had chickens with 3 and 4 legs, but they did not live longer than a month.Yes, normally chickens have two legs with the same number of bones as in a human leg. Yes, chickens have feet. They typically have scaly legs with prominent talons that are used for scratching the ground while foraging for food. Their feet also help them to balance and roost.
Grapefruit. Chickens are animals, grapefruits are plants. Or, part of them, at least. Chickens are feathered, grapefruit hafe thick yellowish dimpled skin. Chickens have meat, grapefruit has bad-tasting sour mush. Chickens can walk, grapefruit can only sit on a fruitbowl. Chickens probably won't stay on the fruitbowl for very long. Grapefruit has no choice. (Unless, perhaps if the chicken decided it liked grapefruit and was eating the grapefruit) Chickens are stupid. However, this is not applicable to grapefruit. See?
ducks are different for chickens because chickens lay eggs and ducks don't+ ducks live in rivers and chicks don't like water
they have legs...
Many things can walk when they hatch including chickens.

They walk using their legs.
The function of chicken coops provide safety for chickens and roosters against predators and bad weather, a place for them to sleep which is on roosts or boards placed two or four feet from floor. Chicken food and water can be placed inside during bad weather. The coop is where we place nest boxes for hens to lay their eggs in. Also, chickens take naps in coops during the day.
You have to walk before you can run.

When you go to Grandpa's farm, walk down. You will see chickens and a barn. Then you walk into the arrow that points to the barn.
