As they are dwarf hamsters they are not as big as Syrian or other hamsters. This means that they may not be able to go in the tubes but it depends on the size of the tubes.

Hope i helped :) x

Would your hamster hide in the air vents in your house?

my hamster is hiding in our air vents. I know because it smells like an old hamster cage. My question is how do I get it out?? Our last hamster died in there and it smelled almost as bad. (ps: if you have a 3 year old, don't get a hamster!) One way to get a hamster out is to look for a ceiling vent in your basement. If you have floor vents in your first floor, then the ceiling vent will be on the same level. Once you find a ceiling vent, find where hammy is hiding. Listen for little footsteps in the air vents. When you think he's near the ceiling vent, stuck hamster tubes up inside of it. Hammy won't be able to resist crawling in his hamster tubes! That's how i got my hamster out of the air vents. - ya u totally copied that from the hamster hideout forum...

How much does a pet hamster cost?

I am buying a hamster and the totaled expenses[even with discounts and such] has summed up to be 126.08$. This is only in Florida though because the tax rate is different and i have included it in the total. Hamsters sell for $4-$11. If it is higher, you are getting ripped off, but this is only for HAMSTERS. For dwarf hamsters are gerbils or mice it ranges from $6-$40. Get a large cage for hamster and make sure the wheel inside is large for hamsters other wise it might damage the hamsters back. Wheels should be full plastic because sometimes hamsters can slip through the wire wheels and get caught. For dwarf hamsters, I don't suggest getting tubes that go straight upwards because the dwarf will not be able to climb the tube because it{hamster] is so small. For mice and gerbils, you must not place them in direct sunlight, and try not to get cages with wires because they can escape the standard wire cages easily.

Can Chinese dwarf hamsters climb vertically?

Yes I believe so. My cousins have different types of Dwarf Hamsters and they can climb up about 2 feet of plastic tubes and probably more! I assume because of this your Chinese dwarf hamster would be able to do the same. You know the little bumps in the tubes? They use those to climb up! Cool, right?

What toys should a hamster have?

A wheel (obviously) Maybe a swing or a seesaw? Something to climb on? Tubes? Hamsters love pretty much anything.

What type of hamster cage should be used for a golden hamster?

A golden hamster would probably like a cage that is normal size and a few tubes to crawl in. They also love hideouts at the top where they can rest

Is a cage tube setup or tank better for a regular sized hamsternot dwarf?

The cage/tubes setup is more entertaining for both the pet and yourself. The hamster will also get more excersise in the tubes than a tank and will make the hamster feel more at home because the tubes would more represent the natural landscape of the hamsters tunnels in the wild.

Teddybear or dwarf hamster?

Well, if you want to know which one makes a better pet, definitely a dwarf. Teddybear hammies can get stuck in tubes easily and when they bite it hurts ALOT! More than a dwarfs bite. If you wanna know which of the dwarfs are best, Russian or roborovski. Preferably Russian if you are a first time hamster owner.

Why do hamster lay still in tubes?

They are probibly scared! A hamster in a tube is like living in those play tubes you play in when you a kid.

What are Dwarf Hamsters Habitats?

they are habitats ( or environments or cages or tubs, or just items) that are suited to the size of your dwarf hamster, the best example is : HABITRAIL, they are a series of hamster products made by a company known as HAGEN, and they carry a line of cages known as OVO, and its got cage bottle food dish wheel etc, but they also have tubing (tunnels) but syrian hamsters grow up to 16 times the size of a dwarf, or just a larger than normal potato, and so although they can squeeze through openings smaller than their body looks, they could get stuck, the opposite goes for dwarfs, they may fall out/down tubes that are too big, hence habitrail has a dwarf sized hamster tubings.... they are skinnier.

Is there a way to get tubes to come out of a wire hamster cage?

Habitrail creates tubes that connect wire cages and tubes together

Where to get hamster tubes?

Pet stores or e-bay

Should you stick to the same hamster cage?

Yes unless another hamster has lived in it before. The best thing to do is to switch cages from time to time with your hamster if you buy a new cage. So he can get used to the newer cage while being in his or hers normal habitat. If you just want a hamster wonderland than i recomend buying another cage with some tubes to connect the cages.
