yes Pears and other fresh, clean, fruits are a good treat for horses. a few thin slices with no seeds will do the trick. just not to much because horses that aren't used to eating that can get stomach aches.

it shouldent hurt the horse because they love pears but if they eat to much pears they could become sick with colic. so if you would be willing to pick some of the pears out of the field or not have that horse in the field all the time they should be fine. also if the field is pretty big or you have 3 or 4 different horses they should be fine ;)

A *couple of small slices without the seeds* (of a pear) won't do any harm, but if the horse is eating the pears off the ground, or you are giving the horse the whole pear this could be a problem. Also, if the horse has access to fruit that has fallen on the ground and eats too much, the horse could develop colic, which is potentially fatal in horses. Yes, it can.
