Yes, it does occur in the wild, but primarily in science labs. And in most circumstances it can produce only a single generation of sterile offspring that can not reproduce such as the mule. A horse and a donkey produces a mule, jackass but the mule can not reproduce.

Sometimes, take dogs for example, German Shepherds are only thought to have been established in the past few hundred years. Then take humans, (same species) and then takes humans of different ethnicity (who will have slightly different skeletal structures). A human from any ethnicity (subspecies due to slight skeletal differences and genetic traits) is able to reproduce with any other human, thereby proving that two different subspecies can reproduce.

Except for cows. All baby cows born as a result of subspecies interbreeding are born with a diminished cerebrums and limbic systems which is why they are very hypo-sensitive and studies have shown they have very poor memory.

What is a imperiled species?

A species that is in danger of becoming extinct. There are low numbers of the animal and they may not be able to reproduce fast enough to survive as a species. Or they may face some environmental factor that is causing them to not reproduce enough to survive.

Where and when do the blue whales mate?

Any animal can physically mate with another animal of a different species, but two animals of different species cannot reproduce. The definition of a species is 'a taxonomic group whose members can interbreed'. There are some exceptions (e.g. Horses and donkeys, which can interbreed to produce mules), but whales are not one of them. While blue whales and orcas are both whales, they are two different species of animal, therefore they cannot reproduce. By sheer difference in size if nothing else this would be impossible. BUT Killer whales or Orcas are not whales but actually Dolphins.

What if a animal did not reproduce?

It would not procreate (produce offspring), and if it were the last of its species, it would go extinct.

Do all living things reproduce?

One of the characteristics of a living thing is the ability to reproduce, otherwise the species of animal would become extinct. However, as of many other "rules" there are exceptions. Any mule (the offspring of two different species of animals, not necessarily a cross between a male donkey and a female horse) is unfertile.(meaning unable to reproduce) so I guess the answer is no, not every animal can reproduce.

Can organisms that look different be the same species?

of course not. Animas are llike people, no to people are alike.
