I keep two sows and a boar together all the time. My Red Wattle boar never bothers the sows when they are in labor or the piglets after they are born. However, I think that will probably vary from breed to breed and from boar to boar.
A female boar is called a sow. Sows are known for their maternal instincts and can give birth to litters of piglets.
a sow is a female........a boar is a male :)
Baby pigs are called piglets regardless of genderHe is just called a piglet, however, when he is weaned he will be called a shoat, then a boar, but when he is castrated he will be a Barrow.
if the sow and the boar are incapable of mating with each other then you have to artificially inseminate the sow or wait until the boar grows bigger than the sow, if it can.
The young of a boar is called a "piglet." Piglets are typically born in litters and are nursed by the sow (female pig) until they are old enough to eat solid food. They are known for their playful behavior and rapid growth during the early stages of life.

A gilt is a female pig that has not given birth, a sow is a female pig that has given birth so piglets, and a boar is an intact male pig.

First off, it's "piglets", and it's a sow not a sew. Anywhere from 8-12 piglets are born to a sow, in general.

There really is no feminine version of piglets. "Piglets" is a neutral word since it refers to female and male young pigs.
Young pigs are called "piglets". Adolescent or very young adult pigs are named in gender specific ways. A young female which has never been bred is a gilt.
