Processed dog foods are classified into puppy and adult food. You should give the adult dog food then. Also, homemade dog food can be given to adult dogs.
Stop feeding dog food and go to small amounts of cooked rice several times a day. If the dog is getting better you can gradually add the dog food. If the dog still has diarrhea after 24 hours, please see your vet to determine the cause of your dogs illness. A dog can get very dehydrated and I wouldn't let the diarrhea go unchecked for long. You can also give the dog an adult dose of pepto bismol in liquid or tablet form (tablet is much easier, they hate the taste) if it weighs over 50 lbs. Give a half dose for smaller dogs or a quarter dose for toy dogs. You can repeat this every 4-6 hours depending on the severity of the diarrhea. Bottom line though, see your vet if the problem continues.
You rush it to the vet! EDIT: IS IT .5 OR 5!? because vets give dogs clonidine for anxiety. How much does the dog weigh can be a factor. .06 can be a fatal dose in a small dog. Call the Vet for sure.
It means to give human characteristics to a non-human thing. for example, the sun smiled at me.
It is not recommended to give any animal any human medicine, or any medicine at all without a veteranarian's perscription.
Yes you can as long as its a very small dose because a big dose can kill the cat.
If I were you i would stick with rohypnol.
A dog should be give only regular strength Benadryl. For a small dog, it' probably easier to give it the liquid children's formula. The standard dose is one milligram for every pound given twice daily. So for your 14 pound dog, give 12-14 milligrams, twice a day. (If the lesser dose works, all the better!)
A baby is a small adult that woman give birth to.
You will give too small a dose which may mean that the medication is not effective.
It's okay to give half an adult dose. Here's why its ok to give a half dose (it's a little complicated so pay attention, ok?) So here is the breakdown: ~ for every reccommended (5 mL, milliliter) dose of Robitussin DM ADULT there are 10mg Dextromethorphan and 100mg of Guaifenesen (the only drug in straight Robitussin) ~ The manufacturer has a formulation of Children's Robitussin that has 7.5mg Dextromethorphan and 50mg Guaifenesen per dose. This formula is safe for kids over 4 years. ~ so, if you cut the adult dose in HALF (2.5ml), you will have a dose with 5mg Dextromethorphan and 50mg Guaifenesen, which is similar to the Children's dose (with the Dex. being a little less). THEREFORE, because the half dose is comparable (if not less) to the children's dose that was made by the manufacturer because of its med content, it is indeed OK to give a child the half dose!
Yes, at these dosages it's relatively safe. The mix of benzos & opiates can be dangerous if you start going higher on the dosages, or if you're an elderly or high-risk patient. Do not mix alcohol with these @ any cost, ever. Don't let anyone scare you into thinking a very small dose of both is going to harm you, it won't. Just remember to exercise good judgement with the dosages. I would personally give it a few hours to take the klonopin after the opiate, or vice versa. Either way, that small dose combo should fine.
You should never give Tylenol to a dog - dogs are not small humans and do not react well to human medications. Even a small dose of Tylenol can be fatal to a dog.
Giving your baby a smaller dose of medicine meant for an adult is dangerous. Also, infant drops are more concentrated than medicine for older children, so be careful how much you give your baby. If the label doesn't indicate an appropriate dose for the weight and age of your child, don't give her that medication.
This is the trickiest of all types of drugs to judge. If you have been taking them everyday for a couple of weeks I would give it about 3 -4 weeks to be clean for sure. But if you just took one or two out of the blue you should be good after 3-5 days. The half-life of Clonazepam ranges from 18-50 hours.
Read the small print that comes with the calpol, and any directions.
