Yes, hamsters enjoy anything wooden. And no, the leftover 'ice' on the stick won't harm your furry pet.
i have no clue. i have a hamster who is very upbeat and runs around, i showed him to my dog to get them used to each other and since then he has been very slow and sluggish. i am worried myself
Yes, but try starting indoors to get used to it then take short walks outdoors on cool pavement or short moved grass be sure that no bugs inhabit the area in which your walking
It is frightened. Think of how many times bigger you are than it, and consider that it is enclosed in its cage without a way to escape. It needs to get used to you first, get used to your size and scent. Just give it time.
the best way to introduce your hamster to handling is to let them come to your hand. if you were a hamster you wouldn't want to be grabbed! show that you are not a threat by putting your hand in the cage near the hamster without touching it and slowly moving it away from the hamster. this way your hamster is more likely to come to your hand. avoid quick movements as this will scare your hamster. when your hamster has had enough leave it or it wont come out when you are there. though it may take time, your hamster will gradualy get used to your hand and wont mind being held! i am in the process of taming my fourth hamster at the moment! hope i helped!
You probably don't see them drink when your not there. Plus, they need to drink or they will not survive. Don't worry too much because it happened to me. Your hamster isn't used to the cage and its surroundings. Just give it a few weeks for your hamsters to feel comfortable and used to it. I was worried at first, until i saw it drink!! :)
because it was named after a person named lollian higonson.
I think it's "lollipop", lollipop. lollipop, oh lolly, lolly lolly, lollipop, lollipop, "POP", by the Chordettes in 1958
I would give it 3-5 weeks, So it can get used to you.
I would not give your hamster alot of cheese as this may cause diarrhea, but they can have it in very small amounts, but i would mostly stick to fresh veggies as they have good minerals and nutritents that are good for them. You could try it with a peanut as my old hamster used to love cracking open the shell and eating the peanuts inside :)
when you get a hamster of the pet they give u a small little box to travel home with. with the hamster in it you then put the box inside the cage and let her climb out when she has got used to her cage and climbs in to her bed gently take the box out and let him/her get used to the cage and go to sleep.
If you have bought your hamster from a pet shop you should put it in the cage for the fist day and you should just stick your hand or a piece of your clothes in the cage so that the hamster will get used to your scent and on day 2 you should slowly talk to your pet and gently rub his/her head until the hamster is comfortable with you and only then can you play with your hammy.
Lolly gagging is a term used to refer to the aimless spending of time.
Yes unless another hamster has lived in it before. The best thing to do is to switch cages from time to time with your hamster if you buy a new cage. So he can get used to the newer cage while being in his or hers normal habitat. If you just want a hamster wonderland than i recomend buying another cage with some tubes to connect the cages.
The answer to that question is a bit in dispute. It could be anything from the supposed Roman name of apple on a stick - loli phaba, which is said to mean red apple, to the claim in a recent book that it was the name of a racehorse Lolly Pop, used in 1908 by George Smith of Connecticut to name his hard candy on a stick.

Interact with your hamster daily by allowing them to get used to you picking them up. Be sure to pet them gently and give them food from your hand to build a trustful relationship.
