Baby shampoo would probably be safe to use on a cat, but other "adult" shampoos contain chemicals that may irritate the cat's skin. It would also be particularly irritating if it got in their eyes (animal shampoos are designed not to cause tears).
It is recommended that you use Cat Shampoo instead of human shampoo when bathing your rabbits.
You can't give a bunny a bath with shampoo made for people because rabbits lick their fur, so they will consume the shampoo residue and be poisoned by it. It might also cause skin irritation. Only use shampoo made for cats, because cats lick their fur, too. Don't use dog shampoo, either, for the same reason you should not use people shampoo. Basically, only use cat shampoo or rabbits shampoo -- but even some cat shampoos are too harsh for a rabbit's sensitive skin. Look for a hypoallergenic, non-medicated shampoo with very few additives. Also, only bathe your rabbit if he is very dirty.
Healthy rabbits lick themselves clean: if your rabbit is dirty, something is wrong and it probably needs to see the vet. Baths can be dangerous for rabbits, so if you have to give your rabbit a bath you should follow certain safety precautions. Ideally, use either the "dry bath" or "spot bath" method, not a full bath. See the related question below for details and links about giving rabbits baths.
It depends on the ingredients. A lot of essential oils that are ok for dogs in the shampoos are actually toxic for cats, so you need to ask your vet, or make sure you get a cat specific shampoo instead.
yes, you can but it is not recommended because the shampoo will easily dry out your cats fur. If you don't have any cat shampoo you can use human conditioner so it doesn't dry the fur out.
Can you use cowboy magic shampoo and conditioner on my rabbit?
You can, it won't kill them, but you really shouldn't. It's not reccomended.
Yes if its a gentle but try to get some puppy shampoo
No. Get a proper cat shampoo. Pantene will damage its' skin
Only if it eats three quarts.
Baby shampoo would be very gentle, or any pet shampoo. Answer no, any pet shampoo will not work. if you use cat sampoo on a rabbit it could make the rabbit blind. they have a "Bunny Bath" shampoo that is just right for them, makes them smell really good too.
No, definitely not. If you absolutely must shampoo your rabbit, look carefully for a safe shampoo. Most common shampoos made for humans -- even ones for babies -- are not safe to use on rabbits. Rabbits have sensitive skin and you could easily give them a chemical burn or irritated skin, leading to infection, if you use a harsh shampoo or soap. Any shampoo that has whitening in it, or bleach, or colour dye, should DEFINITELY be AVOIDED!!If you must bathe your rabbit, look for a hypoallergenic, non-medicated shampoo with natural ingredients. A natural oatmeal shampoo made for cats is often recommended. Avoid chemicals and long ingredient lists: look for something simple and natural. It's widely recommended not to bathe your rabbit at all! Rabbits are clean animals and they wash themselves. If your rabbit is dirty and needs a bath, something is wrong and it should probably see a vet. Baths can be very dangerous for rabbits! Many rabbits become ill or injured when people give them a bath. See the related question below for more details.
no. if you use human body wash for dogs it wont bother them at that moment but later if it tries to clean it's self it could get sick. nothing is for sure but it would be best if you went to a animal shop and bought special dog body wash. if you dont find any there, feel welcome to ask for help. (you can also go to stores like walmart)
You shouldn't, because it is too harsh for their skin. You should use cat shampoo, or if you don't have any cat shampoo, you can use baby shampoo, but not dish soap nor regular human shampoo for adults.
I prefer to use a special shampoo for small animals think it is by Johnson and Johnson the one i use it is very mild and safe to use on guinea pigs. never use human, dog or cat shampoos on guinea pigs.
yes you can use human shampoo on a horse's mane and tail. I use human shampoo on my horses it is WAY better than horse shampoo!
I don't have a Rabbit but sometimes for my dog we use normal human Shampoo! But i know you can buy special animal shampoo in pet stores like Pets at Home and Jolly's. Hope this helped xx
you get a rabbit and then you put it in shampoo mixture and then your done

Probably..But consult a vet first to be sure.
If you have to bathe your rabbit, only use shampoos that are made for, ideally, rabbits; a shampoo made for cats can be okay, too. Look for natural ingredients, high-quality. Oatmeal shampoos are good.Never use a shampoo made for humans on a rabbit. Even baby shampoo can irritate a rabbit's sensitive skin. Even low-quality shampoos made for dogs (with harsh, artificial ingredients) can irritate a rabbit's sensitive skin.Do not use leave-in fur conditioners or other spray-on, leave-in cleansers. Only use a traditional shampoo: the type you lather with water and rinse completely away.Healthy rabbits bathe themselves. If your rabbit needs a bath, something is wrong: bring him or her to a rabbit-savvy vet who can determine the cause and, if necessary, provide treatment.See the related question (link below) for more information.
No, a dog shampoo is much gentler. If you would like to use human shampoo, a baby shampoo would be best in case it gets in the eyes. Also, human shampoo tends to have a higher pH level and is too strong for the dog, causing move harm than good. If you do decide to use human shampoo, be sure to rinse very thoroughly so that no residue is left that can cause irritation.
you can by rabbit shampoo from pet shops. i wouldn't use anything else since rabbits lick their fur.
NO! if you are going to use anything other than horse shampoo, use dog shampoo, or at the very least baby shampoo. Use something very mild, human shampoo is too harsh for horses and will strip all the helpful oils away and leave the horse open to all kinds of problems.
Yes, it is for horses but it can be used on human's as well! look on the shampoo and conditioner bottles! it specifically says human use: and animal use:
Nope.
If you do not have environmentally friendly soaps, such as Dr. Bronner's or other all purpose soaps, you can use baby shampoo.
