Lutalyse, a brand named product of a synthetic Prostaglandin PGF2 alpha, is not labeled for use in dogs by the US FDA. This means it can not be administered to dogs as a general rule. It may be administered to a specific dog by, or under the guidance of, a licensed veterinary as an "extra-label" use.
It will not be effective as a lutealytic agent to cause a dog to "come in to season". Dogs are seasonal, and only form a follicle and ovulate occasionally. Triggering estrus is more complicated in seasonal animals like canines, than in non-seasonal species like bovines in which regression of a 5 day mature corpus luteum will often cause ovulation and estrus.
Lutalyse is an effective abortifacient drug in canines and can be used to terminate pregnancy. However, it has more severe side effects in canines than other species, and has a much more prolonged and specific injection protocol than other species.
If you buy a dog house, the dog will not use it until you train it to go in the dog house.
You would use dog nappies when your dog suffers from incontinence, or when the dog is young, and does not know not to urinate/defecate inside the house.
A cadaver dog is a dog trained to use its sense of smell to locate remains.

doesn't a cow require lutalyse and dexamethasone to induce labor?
Yes, as in the sense promote abortion to occur. Lutalyse is a synthetic hormone designed to lyse a corpus luteum (or break down the corpus luteum) and bring a cow back into heat. Lutalyse is also used to abort females that should not or cannot be bred for certain reasons such as age, health, temperament or abnormal reproduction organ structure. If a cow is pregnant and is given Lutalyse, the cow may abort the fetal calf.
Lutalyse is an injectable hormone-like substance of PGF2alpha, or Prostaglandin F-2 alpha. It's a hormone-like substance (not a hormone specifically) that is responsible for the control of relaxation of smooth muscle tissue, particularly useful in synchronizing estrus in cows and heifers.
Yes you can. You can use LUTALYSE or ESTRUMATE to abort her calf. Note that Lutalyse is best used to abort cattle when they are between 5 and 130 days into gestation. Estrumate is best used when cattle are between 5 or 7 (or one week) and 4 1/2 months (or ~140 days) into gestation. Using Lutalyse after 270 days after parturition should only be used if the cow or heifer is suspected of having a mummified or macerated fetuses, hydrops amnii, hydroallantois, etc. So you have a choice of using either or of the above "medicines."
Read the labels. It will show you the dosage there in terms of # of cc or ml per 100 lbs of the animal's weight. For instance (ONLY AN EXAMPLE), if your cow weighs around 1300 lbs, and the dosage is 2 cc per cwt (which means 100 lb), then you need to give her 26 cc. However, the dosage will not be that high for Lutalyse or Dex. PLEASE READ THE LABELS BEFORE USE.
you can't use a dog! :-)
Can you use an AED on a dog
Estrumate or Lutalyse injection is enough to induce labour in a cow. See your vet (and read the label) for dosage and injection instructions.
