If your rabbit stinks, something is wrong. Rabbits are naturally clean animals: they wash themselves and they don't stink. If your rabbit stinks, either you're not keeping it's cage clean enough (likely the cage is not big enough), or the rabbit is sick and needs a vet. See the related questions below for more information.

Baths can be dangerous for rabbits. Rabbits can get injured or fall ill from having a bath. If you absolutely must bathe your rabbit, follow specific precautions to keep your rabbit safe. See the related question below for more details.

If your little baby rabbit has diarrhoea, skip the bath and get straight to a vet because this is an emergency! If it's after-hours, go to the nearest emergency animal hospital.

If your rabbit is not a little baby, then you can bathe her. However, baths can be dangerous for rabbits, so you must follow specific instructions. See the related link below for more details. Also, it's very important that you bring the rabbit to the vet as soon as possible, becuase if your rabbit has diarrhea it is very sick!

How old should rabbits be before you give them a bath?

Only give your rabbit a bath if competely neccessary. If there is just a little dirt, your rabbit should be able to clean itself. However if there is something caked on your rabbit, a bath may be neccessary. Make sure you have plenty of towels for when you are done, because if the rabbit is wet and cold, it may lead to illness. When bathing your rabbit, you might want to use a shampoo from you're local pet shop, or use a gentle baby shampoo, as long as you keep it OUT OF EYES and OUT OF EARS! Just make sure your rabbit is dry and warm before you return them to thir cage. =]

You can't give a bunny a bath because:It's not necessary, andIt's dangerousHealthy bunnies clean themselves, so you shouldn't bathe them: there's zero benefits, and plenty of risks. If the rabbit is messy, something is wrong: either you need to do better "bunny-proofing" so the rabbit stays out of messy areas, or your rabbit is sick and needs to see a vet.If you need to bathe a messy bunny, first try a "dry bath" with baby cornstarch powder (no talc!), because this is the safest method. The second-safest method is a wet "spot bath." If you need to do a full-on bath, make sure you take certain precautions to keep the rabbit safe. What are the effects after giving a baby rabbit a bath?

Baby Rabbits ??? What age? My recommendations would be NOT to give a baby rabbit a bath. I would not attempt to bathe a rabbit until they are at least 3 months old unless they have had diarrhea and have fouled their coat.

Can arabbit be bath?

In general it is a poor idea to give a rabbit a bath because a wet rabbit can contract respiratory problems and die. If your rabbit is really dirty and you feel you must give it a bath, you can buy rabbit safe shampoos. Ask a vet which ones are safe for rabbits. Or you could just bath them with water. But you must take great care to dry the rabbit with a towel and then put them in a warm, non drafty room. If only a small area of your rabbit is dirty, just try taking a wet paper towel and cleaning that area off. In general rabbits don't need baths because they keep themselves as clean as they need to be. See the related question below for more details and links.

If preventable do not give a rabbit a bath. Especially not in human 'bubble bath'. If you have no choice and for some strange reason need to give bunny a wash, then use fresh, clean water. With no additives.

Do you give a rabbit a bath?

Rabbits have many layers of fur, so when you give a rabbit a water bath, it's fur will retain a huge amount of water. The water will make the rabbit cold and may even cause pneumonia. If the rabbit lives outdoors, I would recommend giving it a bath with corn starch (a baking substance). If the rabbit lives indoors, you can carefully give it a bath in the sink or a tub with the water level low enough so the rabbit can stand comfortably. Then you should towel dry the rabbit and use a blow dryer on the lowest setting until the rabbit is comfortably dry. Then keep the rabbit indoors until it is completely dry.

Do you use water for a rabbit's bath?

Healthy rabbits don't need to take baths at all. Rabbits are clean animals: they wash themselves. If your rabbit needs a bath, something is wrong -- maybe his habitat is too dirty, or maybe he's sick and needs a vet. Don't just bathe the rabbit: deal with the cause of the problem, too! If your rabbit needs a bath, it's best to try the "dry bath" method first, which does not use water. If the dry bath doesn't work, then you can try a spot bath with a wet wash cloth. If that doesn't work, either, then you can try a full bath with water and possibly a gentle and safe shampoo but only VERY CAREFULLY. Baths are dangerous for rabbits, and you could easily injure the rabbit or make it ill if you give it a bath. See the related question below for details.

What can you give your rabbit as a treat like honey?

I once gave my rabbit a Cheez-It... and part of a croissant. But you could give him/her a grape, since it is rather sweet. My rabbit loves grapes ;)
