A daddy long legs is a very spindly and harmless spider. Black widow spiders, on the other hand, are thicker and extremely poisonous. People should avoid black widow spiders whenever possible.
YES, they do!!!!! It happened today, I couldn't believe it but I say the whole thing. A white tail ran across the wall and got caught in the daddy long legs web. The daddy long leg ran straight in and bit the white tail before he knew what hit him. The daddy long leg then stayed at a distance and started putting more and more webs out. The white tail got more and more tangled and eventually paralysed and the daddy long legs wrapped him up. Tonight I had a look and he is sucking him dry. Mmmmm yum! I would have never believed it if I never saw it with my own two eyes. cheers Paul
I get wolf spiders, triantulas, daddy long legs, black widows, babboon spiders, mini crab spiders, and a red stomach spider the size of my foot
Daddy long legs do not spin webs. They do not have silk glands like spiders, so they do not produce silk or spin webs to catch their prey. Instead, daddy long legs are opportunistic hunters that feed on small insects and invertebrates they find in their environment.
Either six or eight. There are at least three different little beasts called Daddy longlegs. - Cranefly (Insect, 6 legs) - Harvestman ('Harvestman', 8 legs) - Cellar Spider (Spider, 8 legs)
yeah i think so
It is actually called the white tailed spider. Like most venomous spiders, it primarily feeds on other insects, even other spiders. Because of the likeliness of its prey being common household insects, it does pose a risk in many places of Australia.

Insects
Spiders usually have two body-parts while daddy long-legs have only one. Daddy long-legs have a teeny body with very long and thin legs, hence the name. Some spiders might have long legs and small body but you'll never find one as scrawny as the daddy long-legs. You can find daddy long-legs in groups sometimes while spiders are always alone. Spiders defend themselves by biting. Daddy long-legs spit acid and cannot bite, they're fangs are too small to penetrate skin.
All spiders except daddy long legs because they aren't spiders.
Insects and other spiders.
