Ants don't like darkeness because they don't know where they are.
they like dark
Sun light and man made light have two very different effects on ants. Sunlight is natural and has nothing but good effects on ants. If you put an ultra violet light down on an ant of course they would shrivel and die. Thats like putting a human on the sun. However sometimes sunlight does have effects on insects like when you see a worm dried up on the sidewalk. An ant can move faster to get out of very heated areas like a sidewalk on a hot day, however a worm can not! However ants usually like shade and are most commonly found under rocks, dirt and grassy moist areas! Hope this helps :)
Ants do not have eyes in the traditional sense. They have compound eyes made up of many small lenses that allow them to detect light and movement. The color of an ant's eyes is usually black or dark brown.
Ants have 2 eyes, but each eye is made up of many smaller eyes.
