Baby syrian Hamsters should be separated in to their own cage at about 3 weeks old otherwise fights will break out between them. (and this goes for male and female). Syrians are solitary animals and prefer being on their own in a cage. The answer to your question is yes and, if your hamsters are syrian, you should separate them soon or some babies may kill the others. Though if your hamsters are dwarf then i don't know sorry :(
