Apartments are not that good because they grow to be 80-90 lbs but, they are VERY good with children the children can sleep right on top of them, pull there cheeks they wont move an inch. That's 1 of the reasons people bred them for.
Boxers are great family dogs. I have a boxer and she is everything that I could ever ask for and more. She lays with me when I get into bed and when I am on the couch. She never leaves my side. She is the best dog. I also live in an apartment and she still finds places to run around. She has no problem with it. I would definitely recommend a boxer. Very good choice.
i have a boxer named Roxy and she is the completion of my life. boxers are great family dogs and i suggest brindle boxers :) they are cute! they don't like being left alone and they love sleeping with people. they are soft, easy grooming, and adorable. i couldn't have asked for a better dog. they are very energetic and lovable. if your looking for a good dog i recommend the always loyal ,boxer.
Yes, they do! We have had two of them; the first one, Ham, died a few years ago, and he was such a wonderful dog, we got another one, Ben, a couple of years ago. Their personalities are so very similar, they could be clones. We recently got another one, a puppy, as a companion for Ben. He and Maddy get along beautifully!
Boxers love children, are very playful, and are very loyal and protective. They can be so silly and funny when playing, but can quite get serious when they feel their "family" is in danger. Neither of them ever bit anyone, but I know they would if they felt they had to in order to protect us.
They have let kids sit on them, pull their ears, etc. (but we never let kids abuse them), and they never once even snapped at them. They love being the center of attention, and can really "ham it up" when they know they have an audience. That was actually how our first one, Ham, got his name, because he loved hamming it up. And Ben is the same way, as is Maddy.
If you do get a boxer, I strongly advise to NOT get their ears clipped. Not only does it take away from their looks, but the ears do serve a purpose; they help keep dirt, debris, flies, etc., from getting in them.
They also make good inside pets, too. But, they will chew thing up, just as ANY breed will. And since they are larger, they are capable of doing more damage. So just keep things out of reach (shoes, purses, etc.), and make sure they have plenty of chew toys. They will soon learn what they are allowed to have, and what they aren't.
They also house train quite easily; they are very intelligent dogs. But, with house training, just as anything else, you have to be diligent in training them. And NEVER hit them or rub their nose in their 'accidents'. All that does is make them afraid of you, and they end up with a filthy nose, while not even knowing why.
yes. basset houds make fantastic pets. they are almost always good with children! you should try getting one of these AMAZING breeds for you family... im sure you will love it
yorkies are not good family pets
no
I don't think you're supposed to have them as pets, they belong in the wild. So no. They aren't.
Yes. They're small enough to even make good house-pets. However you may have to check with local laws on such animals because pigs, regardless of breed, are considered "livestock," not "pets" or "companion animals."
yes!
Yes some people see boxers as aggressive dogs but they are actually very playful pets and the doberman are not good dogs for homes with children or other pets especially small pets.
Most parrots make good pets. Parakeets and lovebirds, and conures are all just smaller members of the parrot family.
They are good family pets but need a lot of exercise. They also make good guard dogs.
Bullmastiffs can make good family pets. They are lovable and gentle but can have some aggression problems, thanks to their guarding instincts. But these should be minimal as long as you properly train and socialize your pet.
They are great family pets. I have a newfoundland and he is great.
They are good with family.
Cocker spaniels are part of the hunting group of dogs. As such, they are fairly easy to train, and do make good family pets. But they can have long hair, so they will need quite a bit of combing and brushing.
Yes they are very good family pets i have two of them molly and max
