Anything with a brain is capable of learning, so yes. However, that does not mean that anything with a brain has a limitless learning capability. Some animals can only learn so much. It depends on how complex its brain is structured.

of course they can see! but if you stand too close to one, their vision is a blur, their eyes are also very sensitive to sunlight. but they have excellent vision when things are at a fair distance.

Hamsters, like most small animals, experience pain, hunger, pleasure and anxiety. They do not have any concept of past or future, however, so they cannot experience more abstract feelings like nostalgia, love, hope, sympathy or regret.

sometimes they can. they can understand= 1. there name if you call for them in there cage 2. if you talk to them they may not know what you are saying but sometimes they do they react they do understand and if you talk to them they will get to know your voice more and they may understand you more love your hamster and they will love you!

yes they only liked to be handled very gently though if you handle them too much it will be likely to bite and or pee on you. if you have two hamsters and want to play with them both at the same time, make sure they are SEPERATE CAUSE ONCE THEY ARE SIX MONTHS OLD THEY WILL FIGHT EACH OTHER
