However, I wash my dog with natural lavender soap from lavendersoap.org which has lavender and chamomile essential oil in it (depending on which soap you buy) and not only dpoes he smell great, it is calming for him and the house smells great after too!
It does not hurt the dog when the Veterinarian gives the dog the final injection. It is just an overdose of a sedation. They just go to sleep peacefully but it is permanent. Now it does hurt our hearts a lot though when we lose our best friends.
