Dogs have high frequency hearing (more than a human) so you can imagine how loud a clap of thunder or a high wind would sound to them. Not all dogs fear storms, but a great many do.
Things to help your dog:
He taught his dog to go woof when it wanted to leave the house.
the clap of thunder went bang and scared my poor dog
You have startled the dog..scared him
Dont leave food out on the table. Keep dogs out of the house or room at dinner or after.Take your dog to a trainer.
If you buy a dog house, the dog will not use it until you train it to go in the dog house.
Agoraphobic.
Hold out a bag of treats in front of the dog so he/she can smell them. Lure the dog outside and give it treats when it comes out. You don't even have to give it treats, just let the dog smell them.
It may be scared or sick.
Slowly introduce the frisbee to the dog. When you have it in your hand give the dog treats so that the dog knows that the frisbee is not a bad thing. Leave the frisbee around the house so that the dog gets used to seeing it. Soon enough your dog will be comfortable with it.
Basically leave them to sort it out unless the dog is large enough to eat the cat.
the dog doesn't like the dog house, dont leave him outside, it would be best to leave him indoors
I know that my dog is quite afraid to leave our house, because the other dog we had recently passed away, and he was there her whole life. She's anxious and afraid of new people/other dogs (sometimes barking for 20 minuted if someone new enters our home). She sometimes runs home from a walk even. Reasons for being scared: Maybe a traumatic experience? Attacked previously (other dogs/humans)? Afraid of rain/doesn't like to get wet/hot? Scared of noise of cars? Scared by lots of moving things eg a flapping carrier bag? Trained by a previous owner not to leave? Scared of the loud sound of cars? There's many different reasons for the dog being scared...
show the dog that there is nothing to be scared of...
Most people leave them at home if they are gone for a trip, but with someone to come and feed them every day. You can also leave them at a dog shelter or another family member's house.
in an outdoor dog house there should be a dog blanket for when it rains or isw cold, the dogs dog food and water for when it sleeps out at night, the dogs favourite toys or chews, something that the dog likes so that it doesn't get scared when it goes outside for the night.
IF it will not pee or poo, then it is not 100% - go back to the vet with it.
A simple answer is that your dog has RABIES! No, this does not mean it has RABIES. Your dog could just be scared, nervous, excited, or a combination of all three.
