ALL rabbits have a soft stool once a day. You usually don't see it as the rabbit re- ingests it (eats it) This is part of their digestion process. If it is more than once a day I would check how many 'treats' like lettuce, carrots, broccoli, etc. that you are feeding your rabbit. Too many treats are not good for your rabbit's digestive system.

What do wild baby rabbits eat?

Well, if your baby rabbit has just been taken off its mother's milk, try giving them pieces of bread soaked with regular milk, and avoid skim milk for their diet. When you decide it's good for them to start eating pellets, (if you choose to feed them pellets) you can start by feeding less bread and mixing more and more pellets into their food, to avoid digestive problems. After a period of a week, or when you feel that your rabbit is comfortable with pellets, stop feeding them the bread. Tip: After you are sure that your rabbit has been eating pellets, starting checking their droppings for loose stool and diarrhea. If that is the case, then ask a vet or local pet store for a brand that will be better for your bunny.

What is the best food to feed an adult rabbit?

The best diet for bunnies is hay in the morning, pellets at night. It is not good to give alot of treats to your bunny, just a small treat about once a week is fine. And no greens because that might cause diarrhea. Just a bit of an apple, carrot, or a small slice of banana. Also, just a plain pellets only feed is best, not alot of extra stuff with the pellets. Hay can be timothy, grass, alfalfa.

What are guinea pig pellets?

Guinea pig pellets are small pieces of food that guinea pigs eat. Pellets can be timothy based or alfalfa based. For an adult guinea pig a timothy based pellet is best because alfalfa includes extra protein and calcium that young (under age one) and pregnant guinea pigs need, but adult guinea pigs don't. Pellets should be available to guinea pigs at all times as they are the main part of a guinea pig's diet. Source Guinea pig owner

How much pellets do youy feed your rabbit?

Short answer: You should not feed your rabbits pellets at all. Feed them Timothy Hay. Long answer: Because rabbits have extremely sensitive and inefficient digestive systems, it's very important to feed them a strict diet. Unfortunately, many pet bunny owners feed their bunnies a base of pellets, since that is what pet stores sell for bunnies. THIS IS BAD FOR BUNNY. Instead of pellets, rabbits should be fed a diet consisting of TIMOTHY HAY. Not alfalfa hay--TIMOTHY HAY. You can find this in most pet stores, or, you can buy it in bulk through Oxbow Farms ( www.oxbowanimalhealth.com ). This is what I buy for my bunnies, and they LOVE it. You may, however, feed your bunny a small amount of pellets every day. Make sure the pellets are Timothy hay based (not alfalfa), and limit the amount of pellets you give your bunny. Too many pellets makes a fat bunny! Also, don't be tempted by the colorful "rabbit mixes" and treats sold by pet stores. They look appetizing to humans, but they are terrible for bunnies. It is also important to note what types of vegetables are suitable for your bunny. Though cartoon bunnies love carrots, they are not ideal for real bunnies. Carrots are high in sugar, which bunnies have a hard time digesting. If you want to give your bunny vegetables, romaine lettuce and parsley are PERFECT. Here is a complete list of good veggies for your bunny http://www.rabbit.org/care/veggies.html Also remember--adopt! Go to www.petfinder.com to find a bunny looking for a forever home in your area!!
