It can do this becase of its need to use its teeth. Give it branches of forest trees (if you don't it can get serious problems as the teeth will grow too long). Or maybe it is trying to escape? Also, the hamster may be stressed, or just bord, is the cage big enough? Does it have enough toys/things to do?

It means that the Hamster is peeing blood. This may be the cause of a Urinary Track Infection. See your vet about this.

First you should look in the room where the hamster cage is to look for any holes or cracks that may lead to the outside, so fis that if that is the case. Now, as for the gnats, put a gnat resistance chemical in the room, but away from the hamster cage, it will lure the gnats over to it and trap them, so they eventually die. You could also get a Venus Fly Trap.

Why are gnats on hamster cages?

They are most likely fruit flies, not gnats. Well, the most common reason for fruit fly invasion is because leftover vegetables or fruit are being left untouched. Those flies like to crawl all over the fruit. To get rid of them, clean the whole cage thoroughly and replace all food and bedding. If you don't you might find some maggots in your cage!
