Raptors have feet with sharp talons, and pointed beaks, which they use for grabbing and killing prey. Song birds have regular beaks and possess feet with one toe facing backwards, enabling them to perch, not prey. Raptors prey on other animals, including song birds, because they have meat diets, unlike song birds which feed on seeds, fruits, or invertebrates.

Examples of raptors are: screech owl, great grey owl, Northern hawk owl, Snowy owl, Swainson's hawk, Sharp-shinned hawk, Condor, barn owl, red tailed hawk, great horned owl, kestrel, osprey, merlin, red kite, gyrfalcon, bald eagle, peregrine falcon, turkey vulture, etc.

They fly like other birds.. tail spread out, and wings flapping if the air is still. But if it isn't, like on a thermal, a gust of blowing winds, the bird can soar through the air, the wind pushing it. Raptors have hollow bones and feathers, making them light. This is how they fly.
