Most ants are sterile, only the queen lays eggs. The queen makes one mating flight in her youth and stores up sperm to last her whole life (up to 10 years in some species). the queen doles out the sperm to her eggs one sperm per egg. These eggs hatch into females which can grow into anything from workers to queens depending on what they are fed. the unfertileised eggs hatch as males (an interesting side-effect of which is that all the sperm produced by that male will be geneticly identical to every other sperm). The queens children are all raised by their sisters.
Antarctica has no ants because it is a cold and desolate place.
dirt
Ants do not make noises in the traditional sense. They communicate with each other through pheromones and other chemical signals rather than vocalizations. However, some species of ants can produce stridulations by rubbing body parts together, but these are not typically audible to the human ear.
Ants recover in Leiningen verses the ants by picking the flesh from the stag.
HOW MANY EGGS DOES A QUEEN ANT HAVE?: Depending on the ants spiceies the amount will vary (change) many types of queen ants have between (75-100) eggs a day! it might seem unbielievable but it is true..... the reason you dont see that many ants is because many of the eggs will not survive for various reasons...... and because the nurse ,worker ,and feeding ants sadly do not live too long...... although queen ants have been recorded to live as long as 65 years.
