If you have seen Jurassic Park, they resemble the velociraptor that had just emerged from it's egg - big reptilian eyes, large head compared to body.

Because crocodiles are reptiles, they are not born, they hatch from eggs.

The baby crocs have an 'egg tooth' - a tiny projection at the front of their jaws which they use to slit the shell from the inside. Reptile eggs are soft-shelled (not hard like a birds egg)
