It does breath like most things, but uses something similar to a oxygen tank on its back and a small mouth piece. All Spiders can dive to depths of over 100 meters and are trained to weld in complete darkness.

Some spiders in Australia are equipped with flippers, and are recruited by the Navy to disarm small pockets of gas formed on the bellies of whales.
