Watch out for entry points such as broken screens. Remove any food sources (insects) that may have drawn the creature. Aerosol treatments like Baygon in combination with Lizard Glue Traps or Lizard Tape are most effective. The lizard may be released from the trap outdoors by pouring vegetable oil where it is attached to the trap. Alternatively, some people just grab them (but there may be disease risks) or catch them in a cup.
A common lizard kept as a pet at home is usually referred to as a household or domestic lizard.
Well, honey, the main difference between a home lizard and a garden lizard is their preferred hangout spot. Home lizards, like geckos, prefer to cozy up inside your house, while garden lizards, like anoles, are more into outdoor living. So, if you see a lizard chilling on your window sill, it's probably a home lizard; if it's sunbathing in your garden, it's likely a garden lizard.
A man went to a preacher's home to ride a lizard. The man saw the lizard he was to ride and after not seeing the preacher, decided to mount anyway. He then said, "Giddy-up." The lizard did not move. Just then the preacher heard him and came out. The preacher said, "In order to make the lizard go, you must say the name of Jesus. In order to make it stop, you must say the name of God." And so the man said the name Jesus and the lizard began to trot like a horse. The man then noticed the louder and faster he said Jesus, the faster and harder the lizard ran. He was so distracted by the fun that he was having that he did not notice the cliff ahead. When he did finally noticed, he yelled "Whoa! Stop! Whoa!" but the lizard kept going. Finally, he remembered. "GOOOOODDDDD!" The lizard stopped less than an inch from the edge of the cliff. He wiped his brow. "Jesus Christ!"
It is a surviving technique; so the lizard can redirect the attention of its enemy to the tail that if moving constantly which will give the lizard an opportunity to get away. The tail will regrow over a period of time.

Actually, they are there because of an adequate food supply of insects. Catch them and take them outside. You might explore the outer parameters of your home to see if there is a way that they are getting into the house.
You need to corner it then grab it by its sides. But not to hard.
