Use luke-warm water and cotton wool and just stroke in one direction over the eye until it is clean. If the guinea pig has very dirty eyes, it may have an infection, and you'd need to see a vet to get eye drops.
this isn't random and yes most guinea pigs actually do this...they do it as a sign of affection towards each other and to clean any watery build up on the eyes
It's normal for some guinea pigs to have a red tint or red eyes. My male guinea pig is not albino, his eyes are brown but they have a red tint or in a certain lighting their red. But I see a lot of non-albino guinea pigs with red eyes, its normal.
Answeryes... mine does at least.AnswerYes they do. They also sleep with their eyes open sometimes. If you watch them when they sleep you can see them dreaming, as like us, they have rapid eye movement, and occasionally they'll twitch. It's really cute :o)
No, guinea pigs do not have eyelashes. Their eyes are typically large and round, and they rely on their whiskers to sense their surroundings instead.
Your guinea pig could have an active bladder. Strange but true, another reason is, if you have 2 guinea pigs, it's there sign of their affection to one another. They squirt pee to clean each other's eyes or other body parts to clean it. Eeew! Hope this helped! BTW, visit www.kornage.com.uk/ Best guinea pig site ever! Thanks! I'm one of their #1 fans!

Guinea pigs can get mites for several reasons, they may pick it up from another animal or they may just be living in an environment that needs to be clean. If your guinea pig has mites take it to a vet or call one IMMEDIATELY.
usually when a guinea pig dies its eyes are open, but if it died sleeping then its eyes should be closed.
